New clouded leopard cub arrives at Denver Zoo

Sunday (5/18/14) the Denver Zoo announced the arrival of a new clouded leopard cub from a veterinary and reproductive center in Virginia.

The Denver Zoo said the female cub was flown, accompanied by zoo staff, to Denver by Frontier Airlines Saturday.

She was born April 10 at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute.

She does not yet have a name.

The Denver Zoo currently has two clouded leopard cubs, Pi, a male, and Rhu, a female.

The zoo said the new cub will be added to the Zoo’s Toyota Elephant Passage soon, but they did not have a specific date.
