Suspect in Penrose bank robbery arrested
A 19-year-old Penrose man is accused of robbing a bank Wednesday morning (5/14/14). He’s been identified as Tyler Matthew Schnapp.
The crime happened at 11:42 a.m. at the Wells Fargo branch located at 210 Broadway Street.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says he was arrested around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday when a deputy spotted the bank robbery suspect’s vehicle driving eastbound on highway 50 out of Canon City.
Deputies and Florence Police stopped the vehicle on highway 50 near Penrose and made the arrest.
