CSPD investigating if suspicious situation was kidnapping

Police in Colorado Springs said officers are trying to figure out if a suspicious situation on Monday night was a kidnapping.

Police said it happened at the Walmart in the 3200 block of Platte Avenue around 6:40 p.m. Monday.

Throughout the night, police said officers worked to determine if an actual crime was committed. Police said misinformation about a suspect vehicle was being reported by other media outlets.

More information will be available Tuesday morning, police said.
