Red Flag Warning issued for high fire danger Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for all of southeastern Colorado until 10 p.m. Wednesday (5/7/14).
The warning includes Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Canon City, Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, Walsenburg, Trinidad, La Junta, Lamar, Springfield and the surrounding areas.
A Red Flag Warning is issued when warm temperatures, low humidity levels and gusty winds are expected to combine to create extremely high fire danger.
Extreme caution is urged until the high fire danger subsides.
