Fort Carson soldier dies of non-combat related illness

The Department of Defense says Pfc. Daniela Rojas was serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom when she died of a non-combat related illness.

Pfc. Rojas died on May 3, 2014 in Homburg, Germany.

The DOD says she was 19 years old and originally from Los Angeles.

Pfc. Rojas was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.
