UPDATE: Intersection reopens after serious crash

The intersection of N. Academy Blvd. and E. Bijou St. reopened early Saturday morning (4/26/14) after a serious crashed closed it down for four hours overnight.

Around 12:15 a.m., Colorado Springs Police say a car turned left in front of another car at the intersection. Both cars collided.

Police say four people were taken to the hospital to treat injuries.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
