Emergency water line repairs expected to temporarily worsen Austin Bluffs traffic jams

Drivers who use Austin Bluffs Parkway are in for more headaches thanks to emergency water line repairs near UCCS.

Temporary Closure of Stanton Road at Austin Bluffs Parkway
BeginningThursday, April 17at 8:30 a.m. throughSaturday, April 19at 5:00 p.m., the Stanton Road and Austin Bluffs Parkway intersection will be closed. Access to Stanton Road and Colorado Springs Christian School to and from Austin Bluffs Parkway will be prohibited. The intersection will reopen to trafficSaturday, April 19at 5:00 p.m.

Lane Reduction Austin Bluffs Parkway at Stanton Road
BeginningThursday, April 17at 8:30 a.m. throughSaturday, April 19at 5:00 p.m., Austin Bluffs Parkway at Stanton Road, westbound and eastbound, will be reduced to one lane. Two lanes in each direction will reopen to trafficSaturday, April 19, at 5:00 p.m.

The city warns delays are expected and says drivers are urged to use alternate routes. Homes and businesses in the area will be accessible during the work.
