Shooting investigation underway
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an overnight shooting in Cimarron Hills.
It happened shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday (4/15/14).
Deputies say there were multiple reports of shots fired in the 1400 block of Hathaway Dr. At about the same time, an 18-year-old man walked into the Cimarron Hills Fire Department with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.
Deputies say the victim had been involved in a fight in the 1400 block of Hathaway Dr. before he went to the fire department.
Detectives are still investigating the incident. Further information is expected to be released on Tuesday.
