Police say robber is targeting Springs cell phone stores

Colorado Springs Police say they are trying to catch a man who has robbed several cell phone stores since late March.

The first robbery happened at the Sprint Store at 1976 S. Murray Blvd. on March 19, 2014. Police say the man threatened employees and stole several cell phones in that incident.

The Radio Shack at 406 S. 8th Street was robbed on March 22, 2014 and the Office Max at 3826 Bloomington Street was hit on April 13, 2014.

Police believe the same man is responsible for all three robberies. He’s believed to be in his late 20s, about six feet tall and weighs between 180 and 210 pounds. They say he has a tattoo behind his left ear.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000 or Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).
