UPDATE: Heavy snow causes sporadic power outages

Fountain Utilities reported several small power outages in the northern part of their service area due to the heavy snow Thursday morning (4/3/14).

The utility says most of the damaged lines have been repaired. Only two homes were still without power as of 10:18 a.m.

The northern part of their service area includes the Security-Widefield area, where the snow weighed heavily on large tree limbs and above ground power lines.
