Huerfano School District lifts modified lockout

A modified lockout that was ordered for all Huerfano RE-1 schools has been lifted.

The district said the lockout was ordered as a precaution after a 16-year-old was arrested for allegedly threatening students at John Mall High School.

The school district says it has been in constant communication with the police department and that there is no imminent danger to any of its campuses.
