Educational assistant accused of inappropriate relationship with student

An educational assistant at Coronado High School is accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Tuesday, the School Resource Officer contacted the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit about a possible inappropriate relationship between a student and an employee.

After an investigation Benjamin Wilkerson was arrested on the charge of Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust.

A D-11 spokesperson confirms that Wilkerson is an educational assistant at Coronado High School.
