Arrest papers: Antichrist, Jesus, God referenced by mother accused of leaving baby on train tracks

The Pueblo mother accused of leaving her baby on the train tracks last Friday remains separated from her daughter after giving investigators conflicting information about why she allegedly put the baby’s life in danger.

Jessica Sloan, 31, made her first appearance in court Tuesday on attempted murder charges.

According to her arrest affidavit, Sloan jumped out of her car as it was stopped for a train at 29th Street and Lowell Avenue because she was hearing voices.

Sloan reportedly told investigators that Jesus Christ pulled the baby from her arms. Later she told the detective that “God/Jehova” told her that her baby would be safe despite what she did.

As we reported on Friday, another witness told police that Sloan had mentioned the Antichrist as the reason for what she did. In the arrest papers she reportedly told the witness that the Antichrist was in her car and she had to run to get away.

Sloan was tracked down by witnesses at a nearby business and arrested. She will remain in jail in lieu of more than $500,000 bond.

The two-week-old baby is okay and in foster care.
