CSP: Alcohol a factor in two-vehicle crash

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Divide that seriously injured two people.

The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday (2/9/14) at the intersection of Highway 24 and Highway 67.

Troopers say 55-year-old Clifton Moore of Colorado Springs ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into another car.

Moore and the driver of the other car, 46-year-old Patsy Sims of Divide, both suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. Troopers say both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Four passengers in Sims’ car were also taken to the hospital. Lisa Flores, 25, a baby girl and two boys, ages 1, 3 and 6, respectively, were all released after they were treated for minor injuries.

Troopers say alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
