UPDATE: Five taken to hospital after school chemical incident
Four students and a teacher were taken to a hospital after authorities said some type of chemical device went off at SkyView Academy in Highlands Ranch.
KDVR-TV reports that the initial investigation has determined that the rupture was most likely not an accident and that this is being treated as a criminal investigation.
Sgt. Ron Hanavan of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says two juvenile boys were taken into custody.
The district attorney’s office will decide whether to file any charges.
