3 hurt in accident on Highway 94

The Colorado Department of Transportation says highway 94 is back open after an accident closed it down about six miles east of Colorado Springs near Paddock Road.

State troopers said three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a two-car crash.

Troopers said a driver had pulled off to the side of the road and was trying to make a U turn when he hit another car.

The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. and caused the highway to be shutdown for about 20 minutes.

Investigators said one driver was ticketed for careless driving.
