Suspected gas station robbers arrested

Two men accused of robbing a Colorado Springs gas station have been arrested.

Police say the robbery happened early Friday morning (1/10/14) at the 7-Eleven/Conoco gas station at 330 S. Academy Blvd.

When police arrived, they found two men fighting. One man was a clerk at the store and the other was one of the robbery suspects.

Police say two men entered the store and hid stolen items in their clothing. When a clerk confronted the suspects, they pushed her out of the way and ran out of the store.

Police say another clerk followed the two suspects and was assaulted by one of them. The second suspect was found several blocks away. Montinique Hill, 22, and Najee Jackson, 24, were arrested and face charges of Robbery.

The clerk who was in a fight with one of the suspects was taken to the hospital to treat serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
