Power restored after car crash caused outage

Colorado Springs Utilities said power has been restored nearly 2,700 customers who experienced an outage Saturday afternoon.

The outages including 2,000 customers in the Northgate area and 700 customers near Vindicator Drive, according to a spokesperson with Colorado Springs Utilities.

CSU said both outages were caused by cars hitting electrical equipment. The outage happened at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and was restored by 6 p.m.
