Infant found dead in Pueblo

Pueblo police investigating the death of an infant.

Police said they found the baby dead in a home on the 2600 block of Jones Avenue Friday evening.

Police said they searched the home after a woman told staff at a hospital that she had given birth around December 30th.

Officers said they are still investigating.

The Pueblo County Coroner’s office is investigating the cause of death.
