Woman found dead, suspect arrested
El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a woman dead in home on North Curtis Road and have arrested another woman on murder charges.
The Sheriff’s Office said they were lead to the home by a woman they found walking along North Curtis Road Saturday afternoon.
The woman made statements that prompted an investigation at a home on the 1400 block of North Curtis Road.
Investigators said they found the victim dead inside the home.
Investigators said evidence at the home lead them to arrest the woman they found walking along the roadway, Rae Stanley. Stanley was booked into the El Paso County Jail on first-degree murder charges.
The name of the victim is not being released. The El Paso County coroner will determine the cause of death.
