Colorado Springs officer hurt in hit-and-run

A Colorado Springs police officer was injured in a hit-and-run last night at the intersection of Southgate Road and South Nevada Avenue.

Police said the officer was directing traffic and told a car to stop. The driver did not stop and instead struck the officer.

The officer suffered minor injuries.

Police said they are looking for a dark- colored late model Nissan Sedan with dark, tinted windows.
