Closures to continue on EB ramp from I-25 to MLK Bypass

The Colorado Department of Transportation says daytime closures will continue for the rest of the week as construction workers install expansion joints on the bridge over Fountain Creek.

The ramp closure schedule is as follows:

Thursday, December 12– 8:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 13– 8:30 a.m.to3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 15– 8 a.m.to5 p.m.

While the ramp is closed, drivers can use the Circle Drive, Academy Boulevard or State Highway 16 exits to access areas served by U.S. 24, east of I-25.

CDOT is replacing the expansion joints to extend the lifespan of the bridge. Joints have been replaced on 15 other bridges in Colorado Springs.
