Member of alleged bank robbing family enters guilty plea

A Colorado Springs man faces up to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery Monday afternoon (11/18/13).

The 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office confirms to KRDO NewsChannel 13 Braden Butson pleaded guilty to two counts of felony robbery and faces up to 12 years behind bars. Butson will be sentenced on January 21, 2014.

Braden Butson, his brother Nicholas and his father Brock are accused of robbing seven banks in the Colorado Springs area and trying to rob an eighth.

Nicholas Butson pleaded guilty to the charges that were filed against him earlier this month.

Brock Butson is expected to enter a plea in December.
