Canon City man accused in child sex investigation
A Caon City man is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl during a sleepover at his house.
The investigation began on August 6, 2013. Police released information about the case on November 18, 2013.
Police say a call from a local health care facility prompted the investigation, which led to the arrest of Richard Lee Fortson, age 40.
Fortson is facing a charge of sexual assault on a child. He’s being held at the Fremont County Detention Center on $6,000 bond.
