Suspect arrested in connection to robbery spree

A stolen blue mini van led police to an arrest they believe will end a series of armed robberies at a number of Colorado Springs businesses.

Colorado Springs police arrested Jason Eddleman, 26, on October 30 just after6 pm. An officer noticed Eddlemen and three companions get into a stolen car in the 1400 block of Alvarado Drive.

Police had already suspected Eddlemen in the robberies, and they arrested him immediately.

Police say the robbery string began on October 28 at a Burger King restaurant.

A man robbed the restaurant at gunpoint.

The following afternoon,October 29, police said an armed man whose profile matched the Burger King robber ‘s, held up a Carl’s Jr.in the 1800 block of South Academy Boulvard.

Later that evening, just before 8pm, police say a man robbed the Entertainmart storein the 600 block ofNorth Academy Boulevard.

Just before midnight on the 29th,police said aman with a similar descriptionrobbed a 7-Eleven on S. Hancock Ave. A second 7-Eleven on N. Murray Blvd. was robbed a few hours later.

Eddlemen is suspected of both thebusinessrobberies and the theft of the car.

Police are still searching for a second man who was seen walking into the Entertainmart with Eddleman. Investigators think that man may have been the getaway driver in that robbery.
