National drug take-back this weekend
Law enforcement across the state are teaming up to take back old and unused prescription drugs.
The National Drug-Take Back day is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2013.
The Federal Drug Enforcement Administration developed the program as a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of unused medications while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
Take-back events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in both El Paso County and Pueblo County.

Tablets, capsules, liquids {not chemotherapy medication} and all other solid dosage units will be collected.
Items which CANNOT be accepted are: Needles & Sharps, Mercury {thermometers}, Oxygen containers, Chemotherapy/Radioactive substances, Pressurized canisters or Illicit Drugs.
