FEMA Disaster Center closes

The FEMA Disaster Center for El Paso County is scheduled to close its doors at 7pm on Saturday, October 26.

The Center will transition to a Disaster Loan Outreach Center on Monday, October 28.

People affected by September’s flooding may still be able to receive assistance from FEMA.

FEMA stipulatesan El Paso County resident affected by severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides beginning September 11,2013 is eligible for assistance.

Interested people should visit FEMA’s website.

The Disaster Loan Outreach Center opening on October 28 is designed to help flood victims apply for low-interest disaster loans.

Disaster Loan Outreach Centers are operated by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
