Colorado gets more flood transportation funding

Colorado is getting a boost in transportation funding to rebuild highways damaged by last month’s flooding.

Instead of $100 million, Colorado can now access up to $450 million. Officials are touring areas on Monday to see the progress being made fixing those roadways.

Gov. John Hickenlooper and members of the Colorado congressional delegation fought for a provision in last week’s budget bill to lift the cap on how much emergency transportation funding the state can use.
