Florence Art Festival moves to permanent location

After years of being in various locations, the Florence Art Festival has a permanent home in a fitting location.

The festival, named “Paint the Town” this year, has moved into the old First Baptist Church, built in 1898. The church’s owners were unable to afford operating costs for the church and donated it to the festival this summer.

The Florence Arts Council manages the festival. The church has been renamed the Bell Tower Arts Center.

During the festival’s seventh year this weekend, 24 artists from Arvada to Trinidad competed for $4,000 in prizes by the local arts community.
