Transsexual woman files suit over cancer screening

A transsexual woman is suing for the right to get free breast cancer screenings.

Jennifer Blair had surgery to change her gender more than a decade ago. She says Women’s Wellness Connection, a state-run health-care program, recently turned her away because she was not born a woman.

According to KUSA-TV, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pays for the program and it only covers clients who are genetically female.
