Police: Drug deal turned robbery leads to pot bust

Police say they arrested two people and seized more than 11 pounds of marijuana after a drug deal turned into a robbery at a Colorado Springs motel.

Officers were called to the Super 8 Motel, 1790 Aeroplaza Drive, at 2:14 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2013 to investigate a reported robbery.

Investigators say that when they arrived, they learned there had been a scuffle in one of the rooms at the motel. Several people were questioned, and police determined that a robbery apparently occurred during a marijuana sale.

Police arrested Michael Willingham and Hallie Blalock for the distribution of Marijuana.

11.36 pounds of marijuana was recovered during the investigation, according to police.
