Water main break turns Pueblo street into river
A water main break turned 8th Street in Pueblo into a river of water and mud Tuesday, October 8, 2013.
The Pueblo Department of Water Works says that a 24″ main broke on Albany Avenue between 7th Street and 8th Street.
The break resulted in low or no water pressure for many customers all across the city. Water service has since been restored to most of the city, although a few businesses adjacent to the broken main may be without water until early evening.
The cause of the break is under investigation.
