All falls intact, Seven Falls says

Rumors that Seven Falls lost two of its falls in recent flooding are untrue, the attraction said Friday.

Linda Carter, the tourism director, released the following statement:

“As you know, recent flooding has had a major impact at the Seven Falls attraction, but I can assure you that all seven of the falls are intact. The road into the canyon was damaged in many places and some of the large trees were knocked down and will now need to be removed.

“The lights that illuminate the falls for the night lighting and Christmas Unlimited Program have suffered significant damage. We are currently working with engineers to assess the extent of the damage which will determine when we reopen.

“As you can understand, safety is our number one priority, thus the reason we are unable to allow anyone into the park at this time.

“We will continue to keep the greater community updated with our progress.
