Rock Slide Victim Identified

Our partners in Denver have confirmed the name of one of the Chaffee County rockslide victims.

They are reporting that Gracie Johnson, 13, was air-lifted to Children’s Hospital in Aurora on Monday (9/30/13) morning. Exactly how she was injured and how bad those injuries are, have not yet been released.

That information, along with the names of the five hikers killed in the rock slide at Agnes Vaille Falls, has not been confirmed by Chaffee County Sheriff’s Department.

The accident happened in the Pike and San Isabel National Forest, in Chaffee County, which is about two hours west of Colorado Springs.

On Monday night, a vigil was help at Buena Vista Middle school in memory of those victims.
