Pueblo teen charged with attempted murder following fight

A night of underage drinking at one Pueblo apartment ended with a teenager in jail.

Police were called to an apartment in the 2200 block of E. 12th Street Friday night.

Johnathan Ward, 18, is accused of hitting his girlfriend and dragging her out of the apartment. He then allegedly grabbed a knife and fought with a friend.

Police took Ward to the hospital because of a cut he suffered in the fight. He was also reportedly severely intoxicated.

Ward is charged with first-degree assault and attempted second-degree murder.
