Former priest convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor sentenced
A former Colorado Springs priest who was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor has been sentenced.
Father Charles Manning, 78, will spend the next 4 years on supervised probation.
The jury that convicted manning of contributing to the delinquency of a minor found him not guilty of sexual assault on a child.
Manning, formerly the pastor at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, was accused of sexually assaulting a child who was interested in joining the Catholic Church in 2011.
The verdict was announced on July 3, 2013, and Manning was sentenced on September 26, 2013.
