Florence house fire kills one person

One person was killed in a house fire in Florence Saturday.

The fire was reported on W. 7th Street just after 11 a.m.

The Florence Volunteer Fire Department and Fremont County Sheriff’s Office put the fire out and discovered a dead body inside.

Investigators have not released the name of that victim.

The Fremont County Combined Investigative Response Team is looking for a cause for the fire.

Roads surrounding the residence were blocked off by emergency vehicles because of the fire and investigation.
