Von Miller’s negative publicity continues

Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller is in trouble with the law again.

The District Attorney’s Office in Orange County, California confirmed Miller has an open arrest warrant in California.

The warrant was issued after Miller failed to pay a ticket for speeding and then failed to appear in court. The speeding violation happened in 2012.

John Fox has had it with Von Miller’s repeated transgressions. Now, the Denver Broncos are waiting to see if NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has, too.

The All-Pro linebacker, who’s serving a six-game suspension for violating the league’s drug-abuse policy, was cited last week for speeding and driving with a suspended license, his second run-in with the law in less than a month.

Said Fox on Wednesday, “Obviously, it’s something that we’re not happy about.”

The league’s conduct policy states that discipline is possible for “conduct that undermines or puts at risk the integrity and reputation of the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL players,” and the commissioner has pledged to take a sterner approach with repeat offenders.

However, traffic violations have generally not been a part of the league’s conduct policy.
