Prosecutors charge 3 in teen’s shooting death

Prosecutors have charged one adult and two juveniles suspected in the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy who was riding his bike after leaving a party in northeast Denver.

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey on Wednesday charged 20-year-old Marquise Lewis and two juveniles with first-degree murder in the Aug. 30 death of Reysean Abram.

Authorities say Abram died from a gunshot wound to the chest. He had just left a party where there had been a fight and was a block away when he was shot in the Montbello neighborhood.

The DA’s office says it is likely that one of the juveniles will be charged as an adult later this week.
