Voting in Giron recall election to begin Friday

Pueblo County Clerk Gilbert “Bo” Ortiz says that Senate District 3 voters can begin casting their ballots for the recall election beginning Friday (8/29/13) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pueblo Elections Division, 720 N. Main Street.

Senator Angela Giron is facing recall for her support of Colorado’s gun control laws.

T he clerk’s office will have voting machines as well as printed ballots available from from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday (including Labor Day) through election day, which is September 10.

On September 10 , all polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Eligible voters (who have lived in Colorado for 22 days, reside in Senate District 3, are 18 years old and a U.S. citizen) can register to vote through Election Day with approved ID.

HOUSING & HUMAN SERVICES – 2631 E. 4TH ST.
DEPT OF MOTOR VEHICLES – 215 W. 10th ST.
BELMONT CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE- 1702 BONFORTE BLVD.
SO. COLORADO GAMING & EVENT CENTER (DOG TRACK) – 3215 LAKE AVE.
CITY PARK PAVILION – 800 GOODNIGHT AVE.
LA QUINTA – 4801 N. ELIZABETH ST.
EL PUEBLO MUSEUM – 301 N. UNION BLVD.

Voters may also request an absentee ballot by clicking this link, f illing out the form and sending it to the Pueblo County clerk’s office by fax or email.
