Details released in Springs child porn arrest

A man accused of filming child pornography with a 5 year-old is in jail.

Nick Chandler, 37, fled Colorado to Florida after police confiscated his computer and a camera memory card. He was arrested earlier this month and made his first appearance before a judge Friday.

According to an arrest affidavit, police were able to identify Chandler through a tattoo on his finger that showed up in some of the pictures.

Neighbors said they’re disturbed by the accusation, especially because Chandler lived across the street from a park and near a pool.

“It’s a horrible situation,” said one neighbor, who only wanted to be identified as Patricia. “It’s a scary thought knowing that we had a neighbor like that.”
