Casey Lane in Black Forest remains closed

A flood-damaged road in Black Forest has reopened for five affected families but remains closed to other traffic.

El Paso County officials said on Friday that Casey Lane will be closed for a few more days. A culvert on the road washed away in floods nearly two weeks ago. The five families were stranded on one side.

The new culvert is installed, officials said, but crews will finish some additional work at the site. The road is expected to completely reopen before the end of next week.
