Police: Shooting possibly gang related

A man was injured in Pueblo Monday night in a shooting that police believe could be gang related.

The shooting happened at the Loaf ‘N Jug convenience store on W. 18th St.

Responding police found a 20-year-old man who was shot in the leg. Andrew Barela was taken to a local hospital, and will be transported to a Denver hospital to treat his serious bodily injuries.

The suspect, 19-year-old Isaac Marez was taken into custody several hours after the shooting.

Police are still investigating the incident.
