Flash flood warning cancelled, flash flood watch continues
A flash flood warning that was in effect for the Waldo Canyon burn scar has been cancelled. Highway 24 is now open.
5:59 p.m. – A flash flood watch remains in effect for the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars until 3 a.m. Tuesday.
5:27 p.m. – All of the major road closures prompted by Monday afternoon’s flooding have been lifted.
4:43 p.m. – Officials will hold a news conference at 5 p.m. We will stream it live here on KRDO.com.
4:25 p.m. – 1,609 customers w/o power near 1-25 & Fillmore. No cause yet, but crews are en route. Est. restoration is 2-3 hrs
4:24 p.m. – Flash flood warning cancelled. Highway 24 now open through Waldo Canyon.
4:08 p.m. – The Red Cross Shelter at 103 Pawnee Avenue in Manitou Springs is open.
3:58 p.m. – CSPD says businesses and homes along Fountain Creek between Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City are being evacuated.
3:47 p.m. – Scanner traffic indicates WB highway 24 is now closed at 8th Street.
3:45 p.m. – KRDO NewsChannel 13’s Carl Winder reports the water level is beginning to rise in Manitou Springs.
3:45 p.m. – CSPD says there is 12″ of water on Crystal Park Road at the gatehouse.
