Man accused of threatening children to change plea

A suburban Denver man accused of threatening to kill schoolchildren and the president is scheduled to change his not guilty plea Wednesday.

Mitchell Kenneth Kusick of Westminster has been held since last year on a federal charge of threats against a president.

According to court records, Kusick told his therapist about wanting to shoot students at a trick-or-treat event at a nearby high school. He also talked about killing President Barack Obama

Kusick took a shotgun from his aunt’s house, tried to buy ammunition, then told his therapist about his plan. The therapist called police.
