Colorado has a lot to celebrate after 137 years

Every August 1 st , Colorado celebrates its entry into the United States as the 38 th state in 1876. Amazingly, that was 13 years after Colorado became a territory and AFTER residents had voted AGAINST becoming a state.

While much has changed, there is still a lot that the first Colorado citizens would recognize.
