Power restored to Fountain Valley after hours long outage
Fountain Utilities says lightning knocked out the electricity for 10,000 customers in Fountain, Security, and Widefield Thursday. Power has now been restored.
The utility says a bolt of lightning hit the north Fountain substation around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, knocking out power for customers living north of C&S Road.
Service was declared fully restored just before 4:20 p.m.
