Ft. Carson soldier accused of having sex with teen

A Fort Carson soldier is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

The investigation into Mark Vincent Petrosky, 19, began on June 21 after the alleged victim reported the encounter to police in Fountain.

The teen told Fountain Police that the crime happened in the parking lot of Quail Lake, 915 Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard, in Colorado Springs.

The teen told police that she met Petrosky online approximately eight weeks before the crime happened.

Fountain Police called the Colorado Springs Police Department because the incident happened in its jurisdiction.

The teen said she and Petrosky exchanged text messages before agreeing to meet in person.

The alleged victim told police that the sex was consensual.

The Crimes Against Children Unit was assigned to the case on July 2.

Police say Petrosky is facing a charge of sexual assault on a child.
