Police investigate sexual assault in Colorado Springs

Police in Colorado Springs are investigating a report of a sexual assault.

Authorities said 52-year-old Miguel Hernandez was arrested and charged with sexual assault.

On Saturday morning, police went to an area hospital to investigate a report of sexual assault. Injuries to the alleged victim were consistent with an assault, police said.

Hernandez was identified as the suspect by the victim. He is the victim’s boyfriend, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
