Death penalty to be sought in Denver bar killings

Denver prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against the final man accused of killing five people at a Denver bar during a robbery and setting a fire to cover it up.

The district attorney’s office announced Thursday at a hearing that it will seek capital punishment for 23-year-old Dexter Lewis.

Lewis and two brothers were implicated in the slayings by an informant who said he went with them to a neighborhood tavern on Oct. 17.
